Non-Medical Prescriber – Substance Misuse – Staffordshire – £32 per hour

Here is an exciting opportunity for a Non-Medical Prescriber specialising in substance misuse to join our dynamic team in Staffordshire. What you will do:
– Deliver clinical interventions for service users accessing substance misuse services.
– Conduct clinical reviews of prescribed service users, ensuring therapeutic plans are optimised.
– Prescribe treatment options for both alcohol dependency and opiate substitution.
– Run your own clinic confidently after an induction, using the Illy data system with training provided.
– Ensure awareness of blood-borne viruses and their treatment pathways.
– Familiarise yourself with needle exchange programs.
– Participate in detoxification and rehabilitation interventions.

Requirements of the Non-Medical Prescriber:
– Recent experience in substance misuse, addiction, drug and alcohol recovery, or similar fields.
– NMC registration.
– Degree or equivalent in Nursing.
– Proven experience in prescribing for alcohol and opiate substitution treatments.
– Capable of running your own clinic efficiently post-induction.
