Child Death Overview Panel Chair needed in SE London

The rate is £600.00 per day PAYE

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the review of child deaths. This critical role ensures that statutory requirements are met while identifying learning opportunities to prevent future child deaths. The Chair will work closely with multi-agency partners, including health services, social care, and law enforcement, to ensure a comprehensive and effective review process.

  • Chair CDOP meetings effectively, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
  • Coordinate panel agendas, meeting schedules, and action plans with the CDOP Chair team, Child Death Review Process (CDRP) Manager, and Designated Doctor.
  • Oversee the production of an annual report summarizing findings and recommendations
  • Ensure all new panel members and invited attendees sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
