CNC Machinist (Setter/Operator)
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Salary: Competitive, £30,000 depending on experience
Hours: 39 hrs/week – Mon–Thu: 8am–4.30pm Fri: 8am–4pm

An established and growing UK-based engineering and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Setter/Operator) to join its precision-focused machine shop.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Setting and operating CNC lathes and mills (FANUC, HAAS, or similar controls)

  • Producing one-off and small batch precision components to tight tolerances

  • Reading engineering drawings and selecting appropriate tooling

  • Supporting continuous improvement and process updates

  • Maintaining equipment, tooling and a tidy workstation

  • Collaborating with a friendly and experienced team

What You’ll Need:

  • NVQ / HNC / HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience with CNC machining (toolmaking or small batch production desirable)

  • Ability to work from technical drawings and use measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers)

  • Familiarity with FANUC, MAZATROL, or HAAS controls

  • ALPHACAM or programming experience is a bonus (training available)
