Exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager in Rugby UK! Seven Resourcing is seeking a dynamic professional to join Rugby Borough Council’s Housing Repairs & Maintenance service on an initial 3-month contract starting in November. Working 24 hours per week, this role offers a competitive pay of £566.42 per day via umbrella or £450 via PAYE. What you will do:
– Lead budget planning, cost forecasting, and financial reporting for housing and maintenance teams.
– Manage variations, contract change control, handle price increases, and mitigate risks under public contract regulations 2015.
– Oversee budget versus actual spend, ensuring contract compliance and conducting effective monthly invoice reviews.
– Support material and contractor costs management to keep spend within budget limits.
– Lead on material procurement, aligning with tendering policies and Financial Regulations.
– Administer contracts, ensuring quality, compliance, and adherence to KPIs with in-house and external supplier teams.
– Develop procurement strategies for compliant market routes in partnership with procurement and operational teams.
– Maintain an effective catalogue management system for all suppliers.
– Assist operational teams in proactive management and control of van stock, analyzing Electronic Van Stock usage.
– Assess and appraise new and existing suppliers to maintain partnerships.
– Mitigate financial and contractual risks while ensuring operational requirements and specifications are met.
– Collaborate with the Housing Maintenance Specialist and Asset team for regulatory compliance.

What will you bring?
You possess proven commercial management experience within social housing or building maintenance, ideally with MCIPS credentials. Your expertise ensures value for money savings and service improvements within supply chains. Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills are your forte, making you an ideal fit for this challenging role.
