Seven Resourcing are looking for a Landscape & Green Infrastructure Specialist to work on an interim basis with Somerset County Council for an initial period of 3 months.

37 Hours Per Week

Up to £30.34 Per Hour (PAYE) or £40.00 Per Hour (Umbrella)

The Job-

Placemaking and Projects Team within the Planning Service.

  • Provide specialist landscape and green infrastructure advice including pre-application discussions, evaluating and negotiation of planning applications, scrutinising detailed schemes, and overseeing the delivery of new facilities.
  • Establish partnership arrangements with key environmental stakeholders and community groups to move forward on a strategic vision for landscape.
  • Strategic input into the evidence base for the Local Plan and allocation of sites in the Local Plan.

Applicant Requirements-

  • Educated to postgraduate level in Landscape Architecture or equivalent
  • Membership of the Landscape Institute
  • Able to prepare and review planning policy and guidance, including the Local Plan and related Development Plan Documents (DPDs) and Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) Neighbourhood Plans and Conservation Area Appraisals and Management Plans making recommendations and presenting to the relevant Council and public meetings as necessary
