About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join a Criminal Justice Substance Misuse service in Lewisham on a 3-month contract. This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals affected by substance misuse, homelessness, and complex needs, helping them move towards recovery and reintegration within the community. The role offers the stability of full-time hours combined with the flexibility and variety of locum work.

What you will do

• Engage with rough sleepers and individuals involved in begging through targeted street outreach at various locations and times.

• Act as the main care coordinator for allocated service users, delivering screening, assessments, asset mapping, and recovery planning.

• Develop and coordinate tailored care packages, including psycho-social interventions, one-to-one key work, and group sessions.

• Complete comprehensive assessments and create individual recovery plans to support substance misuse recovery and community reintegration.

• Promote and support the development of service-based recovery communities.

• Undertake risk assessments and manage identified risks effectively and proportionately.

• Carry out triage assessments and make timely referrals to appropriate treatment providers and community support agencies.
