Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Assessments: Evaluate the needs of individuals with visual impairments to design personalised rehabilitation programmes.

  • Provide Mobility Training: Support clients in developing the skills needed to navigate their environments confidently.

  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work alongside other professionals to create comprehensive strategies that enhance clients’ quality of life.

  • Maintain Detailed Records: Document client progress accurately and prepare reports as required.

  • Client and Family Engagement: Offer education and guidance to clients and their families, empowering independent living.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Professional Registration: Must be qualified and registered with RWPN.

  • Specialist Qualification: Hold a qualification in mobility training as a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist.

  • Valid Driver’s Licence: Essential for travelling to various locations across Leeds.
