Pearson Carter is currently working with a fast-growing HealthTech start-up based in San Francisco, California. They are transforming the healthcare industry by developing AI-driven solutions for medical data processing and analytics. Due to rapid expansion, they are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Python Developer to join their team and contribute to building scalable and secure backend systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django/FastAPI

  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

  • Work with AI and machine learning teams to integrate predictive analytics into healthcare applications

  • Ensure security, compliance (HIPAA), and performance of backend systems

  • Collaborate in an Agile environment with data engineers, DevOps, and product teams

  • Implement best practices for database management (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP)

Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python (Django, FastAPI, or Flask)

  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)

  • Background in high-availability, distributed systems, and microservices

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience working in HealthTech, AI, or data-driven environments is a huge bonus

Salary

They offer an excellent salary package: 130,000 – 150,000 Equity Options Remote Flexibility Bonus Healthcare Benefits.

Location

The company is based in San Francisco, California, with a flexible work environment where remote working is possible.
