What you will do:

– Assess and carry a caseload of kinship foster carers with a focus on securing permanence through Special Guardianship.
– Support and supervise carers on their journey towards obtaining Special Guardianship Orders, providing much-needed permanence for Shropshire’s children.
– Contribute to the ongoing assessment, development, and training of kinship foster carers, ensuring they provide safe and nurturing environments.
– Provide direct supervision in line with fostering legislation and attend relevant meetings such as CLA reviews, transition meetings, and more.
– Conduct kinship fostering assessments and special guardianship assessments, ensuring high-quality submissions within set timeframes.
– Maintain an expertise in reflective, restorative, and trauma-informed practices, while meeting workload deadlines and participating in supervision.
