Stock Controller

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Stock Controller  to join our well-established client based in Salford M50. This is a fantastic opportunity, offering great benefits and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Pay rate: £14.85 per hour

Day-to-day duties: 

As an Stock Controller  , your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Work with the production department to ensure the wheat variety arriving on site is the variety required.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and issues using inventory management systems.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify stock discrepancies and coordinate investigations or adjustments.
  • Assist with forecasting and reordering of materials to meet operational needs.
  • Prepare and submit stock reports to management
  • Maintaining stocks of office supplies
  • Support day-to-day site operations by coordinating deliveries, contractors, and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of site service activities (waste disposal, maintenance, cleaning, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards for stock and site operations.
  • Prepare documentation and reports for audits or inspections.

Essential skills: 

To be successful as an Stock Controller  , you will need:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to learn new duties and skills.
  • Customer Sensitivity.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Food hygiene level 2 (desirable)
  • Stock Control experience (desirable)

  • Food hygiene level 2 (desirable)
  • Stock Control experience (desirable)

Training: Full training will be provided, with additional support throughout.
