Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician

For the successful Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician our client is offering:

• Competitive rate paying between – £26,000 – £27,000 – Lots of progression opportunities!
• Permanent position
• Days based role 8:30am-5pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays – 36.5 hours per week – Must be flexible to start / finish times

The Role – Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician:

• Shadowing a Senior Engineer to fully understand the role
• Carrying out site surveys and investigation
• Writing up reports
• Perform maintenance checks and troubleshooting tests of existing protection systems
• Project management
• Collecting & reviewing data to determine condition of structures under evaluation
• Involvement in installation projects
• Travelling across the UK to customers, overseas travel maybe involved as the role develops in time
• This role will involve travelling away during the week – But not on weekends
• Commissioning activities

What our client is looking for in a Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician:

• You must be willing to stay away from home as this will involve being away from home most weeks Monday to Thursday/Friday 
• Strong communication skills
• Our client is looking for somebody with a Qualification in either – Mechanical Engineering / Electrical 
• Understanding of CAD software
• Excellent attention to detail
• Keen to learn, this position will be working closely with a more experienced Engineer
• UK Driving Licence – Essential
• Passport – Essential
