About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management, maintaining high standards of health and safety, leading warehouse staff, and ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and on time.
This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Lead, supervise, and develop warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately.
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock checks and inventory control procedures.
Ensure compliance with company policies and all health and safety regulations.
Develop and implement warehouse procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Coordinate with purchasing, transport, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor warehouse performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Manage warehouse equipment and arrange maintenance when required.
Ensure warehouse security and proper storage of all products.
Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Manage budgets and control warehouse operating costs where appropriate.
Essential
Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar warehouse leadership role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
Good understanding of warehouse health and safety regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Desirable
Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management qualification.
Forklift licence (Counterbalance/Reach).
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience managing large warehouse teams.
