Field Service Engineer

Location  – Buckinghamshire 
Salary – £30,000 per annum excellent benefits
Working Hours –
8:15am–5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:15am–12:45pm on Friday, with flexibility required to support customer visits.

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys variety, customer interaction, and working with electro‑mechanical equipment both on-site and across customer locations in the UK and Ireland. As a Service & Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, calibration, servicing, and ongoing support of electro‑mechanical equipment. The role involves a mix of office-based work and customer site visits, offering excellent exposure to different technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, calibrate and service electro‑mechanical test equipment
  • Provide planned maintenance support at customer sites across the UK and Ireland
  • Complete accurate service reports and related documentation
  • Deliver customer training on equipment use and basic maintenance
  • Provide day-to-day technical support via ticketing system, email, remote access and phone
  • Ensure all company equipment is operating correctly and is calibrated as required
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve technical queries and build technical knowledge

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a service or support engineering role (highly desirable)
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with some electronics exposure
  • A capable problem solver with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to engage professionally with customers at all levels
  • Computer literate, including MS Outlook, Word and Excel
