The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a small, collaborative engineering team working across modern web applications and integrated transport technology solutions.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable applications that interact with real-world hardware and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full stack applications using Node.js and React
- Develop and integrate APIs and backend services that support transport and IoT systems
- Work closely with embedded and hardware teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure high-quality code through testing, debugging, and best practices
- Support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
About You
Core Experience
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer (senior level)
- Strong expertise in Node.js and React
- Experience building and consuming APIs and working with distributed systems
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices
Technical Skills
- Experience with databases (e.g. SQL, MongoDB or similar)
- Exposure to cloud platforms or DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines)
- Bonus: experience with .NET, Python, or AI/ML technologies
Other Requirements
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Degree qualified in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
- NZ Citizen or valid working rights preferred
