What you will do:
– Deliver quality, efficient, and effective family-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team, meeting the diverse needs of clients and their families.
– Evaluate maternity care in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes for women and their families.
– Respond effectively to emergency situations and the changing status of clients to ensure safety and quality of care.
– Contribute to quality healthcare through lifelong learning, professional development, and participation in research and policy development.
– Complete thorough documentation of midwifery care, progress reports, and referrals using prescribed systems to ensure comprehensive patient records.

Position summary:
As a Registered Midwife, you’ll have the opportunity to work across the full scope of practice. Many of our midwives rotate through pregnancy clinics, birth, postnatal, and domiciliary areas to provide comprehensive midwifery care. We actively support the development of our midwives to enhance their skills and offer continuity of care, promoting both professional and personal growth. Requirements of the Midwife:
– Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery or Bachelor of Midwifery
– Ability to obtain registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
– Completion of a midwifery graduate year or equivalent experience
– Victorian Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
– Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for consumers
– Clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience
– Exceptional written communication skills
– Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
