Senior Backend Integration Developer (Fixed-Term – 12 Months)

About the Role

We are seeking multiple Senior Backend Integration Developers to join a high-performing team delivering a large-scale mobile application project. This role focuses on building and integrating secure, scalable backend APIs and data systems, working closely with existing live platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and mobile developers to deliver high-quality solutions used by a global user base.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support mobile application features.
  • Work with existing systems and services to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and ongoing refactoring.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend/mobile developers to deliver features end-to-end.
  • Leverage modern development tools, including AI-assisted tooling, to improve efficiency and code quality.
  • Ensure code quality, security, performance, and reliability across all deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in C# / .NET development.
  • Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs (JSON) with JWT-based authentication/authorisation.
  • Solid experience with SQL Server (or equivalent) and relational database design.
  • Strong understanding of secure, scalable system design and performance optimisation.
  • Experience working with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency with Git for version control.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, distributed teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting or delivering mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Shape Up or similar).
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Domain knowledge in sports or membership-based platforms (advantageous but not essential).
