The Opportunity

The client is seeking multiple Senior Backend Integration Developers to join a high-impact 12-month fixed-term mobile application project.

This role focuses on building and integrating robust API backends and managing the data systems that support a modern mobile platform. You will work alongside a high-performing, cross-functional team delivering solutions used by a global user base.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems to support mobile application features
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using JSON, ensuring robust authentication and authorisation (JWT)
• Integrate new systems with existing live platforms and services
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and mobile developers
• Contribute to system architecture, design decisions, and refactoring of complex integrations
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency while maintaining high code quality
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in C# / .NET development
• Proven ability to design and build secure, performant REST APIs
• Solid understanding of JWT-based authentication/authorisation
• Experience with Git for version control
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly SQL Server, including schema design and query optimisation
• Experience building secure, scalable systems with a focus on performance and reliability
• Hands-on experience developing cloud-based applications on AWS
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional, globally distributed teams

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to mobile application development environments
• Familiarity with Shape Up, Agile, or similar delivery methodologies
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Domain knowledge of the relevant sport or industry (advantageous but not required)
