Team Leader – Carlow

AA Euro Healthcare is recruiting a Team Leader on behalf of a well-established residential childcare provider based in Carlow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social care professional to step into a leadership role within a therapeutic residential setting for young people.

About the Role

As Team Leader, you will provide shift leadership and support the management team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed residential care. You will guide staff on shift, ensure care plans are implemented, promote best practice, and maintain high standards of safety and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate staff during shifts
• Implement care, placement, and crisis management plans
• Support young people’s daily care, education, and development
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Liaise with social workers and external professionals
• Ensure compliance with HIQA and safeguarding standards
• Support, mentor and develop team members.

Essential Requirements

• QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline
• Min. 2 years post-qualification experience working with children and/or young people
• Experience supporting complex and challenging needs
• Demonstrable leadership or senior social care experience
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice
• Full clean manual driving licence (Ireland)
• Eligible to work in Ireland without the need for sponsorship
