Construction Services Coordinator – Solar EPC

Role

Climate17 are working in close partnership with an award-winning, solar engineering company who specialise in project life-cycle services and solutions for the utility-scale solar industry.

They are actively searching for a Construction Services Coordinator who will support the Head of Construction Services and assist with the organisation, tracking and delivery of their key services over several projects to multiple clients. 

Responsibilities
            

  • Daily reporting on the status, planning, preparation, execution, client liaison and business functional delivery of a number of solar farm construction management service contracts.
  • Join or Hold Meetings (Mainly via Teams) on a regular basis
  • Be willing and available to travel to sites to supervise mobilisation activities when required.
  • Contribute to Management of relationships with existing and new clients, contributing towards technical and commercial negotiations and meetings.
  • Strengthen existing and establish new sub-contractor / supply relationships & and partnerships, ensuring that they are technically and commercially compliant.
  • Assist with Managing all aspects of Health & safety regarding the delivery of services & solutions on construction projects.
  • Support company’s range of Quality Management services and initiatives, ensuring that high standards are met to exceed our clients’ expectations.
  • Contribute towards the definition of scope of works, build pricing models and develop service proposals with the Head of Construction Services and the COO to secure new work.
  • Carry out pre-condition site visits & surveys to establish site & local conditions which impact the delivery of the project as required.
  • Contribute to the Establishment and management project documentation structures and ensure the client specific structure is established and maintained.
  • Review all information provided by the EPC/IPP, project client and suppliers, in conjunction with the Engineering Team to inform the plant design process & construction budget.

Requirements
 

  • Highly organised with complementary written and spoken communication skills
  • Professional level of full Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook as a minimum).
  • A strong understanding of the large-scale solar construction project process. Understanding technical vocabulary, major components, project sequences and key risks
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills and a strong attitude towards operational health & safety.
  • Excellent document presentation and reviewing skills, with an eye for detail and high standards of service delivery.
  • Full UK Driver’s license
  • Desirables; SMSTS Qualification or higher, First Aid Certificate, Degree-educated in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering, Electrical experience & qualifications, NEBOSH Construction Certificate.

Location:          Remote – regular UK site travel
