Field Application Engineer

A hugely exciting opportunity for a Field Applications Engineer at an innovative semiconductor scale-up company. It’s a pivotal role in their mission to shape their future! This position will be based in Nuremberg, Germany and it is essential to speak fluent German and English.
 
Job Description

• Work closely with sales to provide pre and post-sales technical support for European customers.
• Travel to the customer site to provide support as needed.
• Collaborate with device and module design engineers to troubleshoot customer applications
• Develop strong relationships with sales and engineering teams to help drive next-generation products.
• Technically qualify opportunities and propose the best solution
• Assist new and existing customers from evaluation through production
• Gather information on the competitive landscape and report to management
• Communicate technical market trends and recommend strategies for success

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role in power semiconductors and their applications
• Strong communication skills – fluent in German and English
• Ability to review schematics and provide support using their product
• Knowledge of SiC MOSFETs, Diodes, and Power Modules
