Head of Religious Education – Role:

  • Lead and manage the Religious Education department, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement an innovative and inclusive RE curriculum that reflects the diverse religious traditions and secular perspectives.
  • Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student engagement and curiosity.
  • Mentor and support RE teachers, providing professional development opportunities to enhance their teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to integrate religious and ethical perspectives into the broader curriculum.
  • Engage with parents, guardians, and the wider community to promote understanding and support for the RE program.

Head of Religious Education – Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent certification.
  • Holds a degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
  • Has a strong track record of successful teaching experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of world religions, religious philosophies, and ethical frameworks.
  • Exhibits outstanding leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the RE curriculum and the school community.
  • Possesses a passion for education and a deep commitment to the personal and spiritual development of students.
