Multi Skilled Fitter

 

Salary: £15ph  + Overtime paid at time and a half after 42.5 hours.  

 

Orion is partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturing business located in Heysham, Lancashire which is recruiting for an electrically biased Multi Skilled Fitter.

Multi-Skilled Fitter Duties:

  • Assembly of steel fuel tanks and bowsers to high standards and specifications
  • Assembly and installation of components; mechanical and electrical fitting
  • Plumbing/pipefitting experience required
  • Electrical knowledge and experience of single and three-phase ancillary systems
  • Testing and inspection of your work to guarantee finished quality

Multi-Skilled Fitter Experience:

  • Adaptable problem-solver, able to interpret engineering drawings
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical products, functions, and operations
  • Working knowledge of mechanical assembly, manufacturing, and testing
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplined team to tight deadlines
  • Computer-literate in MS Office, and will need driving licence/own transport
  • Effective communication skills, with awareness of health and safety
  • Creative, analytical, and highly self-motivated.
