Part-time Finance Controller – Lincoln – Hybrid working – 30 hours a week – £35,000 – £40,000

They are now looking to bring on board a part-time Finance Controller who can take charge of the finance department, they want to offer an opportunity that works for you, offering hybrid working and flexibility on working hours. 

About the job
A stand-alone Finance Controller position that will see you report directly to the company directors on company finances. This post is perfect for you if you like an all-round position where you are not just focused on management accounting and reporting but owning the full bookkeeping aspects of finance as well. You might have been a Finance Manager or Company Accountant for an SME business previously and are used to working directly with the company’s board.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Month-end accounts preparation and reporting 
  • Statutory accounting
  • Implementing and improving financial processes and control
  • Managing sales and purchase ledger 
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Fixed Asset register management 
  • Monthly payroll

About you
If you are an experienced SME Finance Controller, Finance Manager or Company Accountant who is looking to find a reduced-hours position that can offer a work-life balance then this is for you.

You will use your previous stand-alone experience to take ownership and put your stamp not only onto the finance department but the businesses as a whole as you become a vital member of the team. You don’t need to be CIMA/ACCA-qualified but you will need to show you have operated at this level previously and are qualified by experience in a similar setting. 

Required Experience:

  • Stand-alone finance management experience
  • Experience relaying financial reports to non-finance stakeholders across the business
  • Working knowledge of Sage 50 or similar 
  • Multi-currency experience (desirable)
  • Monthly payroll experience (desirable)
