Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? Step Teachers are working with a “Good” Ofsted-rated Primary School in North Finchley to find a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2024.

The school are eager to find an experienced and qualified individual who is comfortable providing additional support on a one-to-one basis and is ready to contribute to the school’s safe and friendly educational atmosphere. The student you will be supporting is in lower KS2. 

SEND Teaching Assistant – Role:

  • Making a positive impact on the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities.
  • Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
  • Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.

SEND Teaching Assistant – Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as an SEND Teaching Assistant.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
