Nobody got into recruitment to chase right-to-work expiries. Tracker's new brand is built for the people who didn’t.

By Stormie Haller, Director of Marketing at Tracker

Ask any recruiter the best part of the job and they’ll say the people. Ask the worst part and they’ll say the people, too. That’s recruitment. It’s messy, human and personal, and it’s never been about chasing right-to-work expiries or pulling together Friday’s report. After more than 12 years in staffing technology, I’ve learned that the people, on the good days and the bad, are what a great brand in our world has to protect, and it’s what ours is built around.

Last week, after months of work, Tracker went live with a new brand. That means new positioning, new messaging and a fresh new look, all resting on one simple idea: the desk stays personal.

We also launched TrackerAI and EVA in the same week, and that was very much on purpose. The brand says what we stand for, and the products show we mean it.

The idea

Every recruiter I’ve ever met talks about their desk. It’s their rosters, their pipelines, and the history of every candidate and client they’ve worked with. And that desk faces two ways, with the recruiter on one side and the people they serve on the other.

Here’s the thing, though. The bigger an agency gets, the more that desk fills up with everything else: compliance, timesheets, and that report someone has to pull together by Friday. Somewhere underneath it all is the phone call that wins the next brief.

Tracker takes care of everything that would otherwise get in the way, so the desk stays personal. For agencies, that means compliance, timesheets and reporting run without anyone chasing them, and recruiters get to stay on the phone with the candidates and clients who matter.

Why we chose it

Honestly, we didn’t start with a tagline. We started by listening. Tracker has been around for 21 years, and we wanted the answer to “who are we?” to come from outside the building, so we spent time with customers, partners, and many other people across the industry.

What we heard stuck with me. Before Tracker, customers described life as hectic, manual, and chaotic. After, they described it as organised and efficient. And when we asked them to describe us in a single word, they kept coming back to the same one: dependable. You can read here what customers say about running on Tracker in their own words. That word became our mission, to be the most dependable relationship recruitment agencies have, so they can be the most dependable relationship for everyone they serve.

We explored three creative directions, and “the desk stays personal” was the clear favourite. Here’s why it won us over:

It’s ours. Every recruiter talks about running a desk, yet almost nobody in our category uses the word.

It shows rather than tells. Think of a contractor’s certification caught before it expires, or a candidate re-engaged before they start looking elsewhere.

It’s wide enough for the whole story. Compliance, visibility, and automation all sit underneath it as supporting ideas, so compliance becomes “the desk stays responsible.”

It’s different. The rest of the category talks about automation, and we wanted to talk about people.

Customers told us, again and again, not to make them feel like a number. So the brand doesn’t start with us. It starts with the agency employee on the phone and the person on the other end, which is exactly why we’re built by people who have run the desk themselves.

What it means for your agency

Let’s be real for a minute; most recruitment technologies sound similar: a list of features and a promise of efficiency. Ours is a narrower commitment, and I think a more meaningful one. Everything Tracker does gets measured against whether it protects the relationship between the recruitment agency employee and the person on the other side of the desk.

If you run the agency, you can see every fill rate, margin, and pipeline before anyone has to ask, through real-time reporting and dashboards.

If you’re on the desk, you get time back for the call, the conversation, and the placement that comes from staying close.

And if you’re the candidate or the client, you get a recruiter who’s one step ahead rather than one playing catch-up.

The products behind the promise

Most AI starts from scratch. TrackerAI starts from every placement the desk has ever made.

Picture this. A CV lands in Priya’s inbox at 7:40 on a Monday morning, and by nine it’s already been scored, summarised, and put into the agency’s format. Priya gets to spend her morning on the phone, which is right where she wants to be.

EVA is your AI assistant, there to help every recruiter and business development rep so they can focus on the conversations that matter. EVA comes with every Tracker package. Here’s how to put an AI recruiting assistant to work in your agency.

TrackerAI Agents take the busy work off your team’s plate and handles it for them, covering everything that happens between a CV arriving and a recruiter picking up the phone. They’re available as add-ons (some paid, some free), with new agents arriving in every bi-weekly product deploy.

Plugins extend what TrackerAI can do, from advanced capabilities for partner integrations to smoother everyday processes like address inputs with Google Address Lookup.

Reports can now start with a plain language request. Just describe the data you want, and Tracker builds it for you.

One thing our customers have made really clear is that AI is no longer the question. Who’s responsible for it is. If that’s the conversation happening in your agency, our practical guardrails for using AI in the hiring process are a great place to start. And if you’re weighing what to automate and what to hand to AI, our free ebook, Automation vs. AI: when to automate and when to use AI, will help you decide. It’s also why TrackerAI arrived alongside the brand rather than ahead of it. The recruiter stays in charge, and the technology quietly does the work around them.

What stays the same

New brand, same Tracker, same trusted support. Same name, same logo. Customer logins are right where they’ve always been, and all the same trusted integrations are still available, with new partners being added every week.

See it for yourself

Recruitment is a relationship business, and I’d love for us to keep it that way. The new website is live at tracker-rms.com, and if you’d like to see the desk in action, you can book a demo and see it for yourself. If you’ve reviewed Tracker here on RecTools, thank you so much. Your words are a big part of how we got here. And a heartfelt thank you to our team, who gave so much of their time, their opinions, and their patience to get this out the door. I couldn’t be prouder of what we are building together.
