Buyer's guide
Sometimes the best answer is a specialist who does it for you. The service providers on the rectools® panel work with recruitment businesses every day, across marketing, finance, legal, global expansion, IT and coaching. Choosing the right partner comes down to a few things.
What to look for
- Recruitment experience. A partner who knows recruitment won't need the basics explained, and has probably solved your problem before.
- Clear scope and pricing. Know exactly what you're getting, what it costs and what counts as extra.
- The people doing the work. Find out who will actually work on your account, not just who sells it to you.
- Results you can measure. Agree at the start how you'll judge whether it's working.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Which recruitment businesses like ours have you worked with?
- Who will we deal with day to day?
- What's the minimum term, and how much notice do we need to give?
- How will you report progress, and how often?
Watch out for
- Long retainers before you've seen results. A short first project is a good test.
- Vague promises. Get what you'll receive in writing.
